A Denim Workshop

Back in 1996,  I traded in my tailored trousers for a pair of good old American men's 501's.   Then the denim worshipping began....

Robert Rifkin considers jean-making an art.  March 1996 the Levi worshiping began with men's used & vintage Levi's, selling men's used Levi 501's, custom alterations and repairs.

Levi fanatics from Europe, Japan, New York and beyond discovered this converted railroad conductor shack on Pico Blvd in West LA as the ultimate Levi vintage destination.  In 2012 the Metro-Rail demolished it and  Robert had to move and reinvent his self.  But his customers stayed loyal and follow him still, 25 years later reminiscing about the shack.

Rufcut has come full circle with our workshop located on Route 66 in WLA, the journey is complete,  Voted Best of LA for Used & Vintage Levi's and now offering bespoke custom jeans plus hundreds of perfectly faded vintage Levi 501's.  With over 25 years of expert jean repairs and alterations affordable plus dependable quality service.

The little jean shack, originally located on Pico Blvd was built by the Rail Roads as a conductor shack that transported you back to the golden days of polished vinyl and quality denim but for those who remember the Shack, oah..."the good old days"..
